Hi readers! Sorry it’s been a while, gosh I’m so behind on posts and have a lot to catch up with, but for the next 14 days, I’m going to be bringing you along for my journey to Africa. I’m spending three days in Zimbabwe and eleven in Zambia (where I am originally from) and will be doing daily posts while I’m out here.
As I type this, I sit in my hotel room exhausted from well over 18 hours of flying. To reduce ticket costs, we took 3 different flights! Thankfully we flew on Emirates who offer 5 Star service, even to thier economy flyers and to make things even more amazing, we flew on my birthday, November 1st!! Thankyou to everyone who wished me a happy birthday, your well wishes were gratefully received.
Our first flight was on an Emirates A380 Airbus, which flew to Dubai. Dubai has one of the most magnificent airports I’ve ever seen, but our next flight was so close from our last we didn’t get to stop for shopping. We then flew all the way to Zambia, stopped for an hour, then flew to our final destination, Zimbabwe. I won’t be back in Zambia for another 2 days, but just stopping there for that short time made me so excited!
Our hotel is magnificent and for the first time, I’m staying in a suite! It’s so much more spacious and the service is fantastic. Looking forward to exploring more of the hotel & the surrounding area.
Check back for more.
